Srinagar International Airport makes special arrangements for smooth departure of Hajj pilgrims
Srinagar/IBNS: In preparation for the upcoming departure of Hajj pilgrims, Srinagar International Airport has implemented special measures to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free journey for the devotees.
Kuldeep Singh Rishi, the Director of Srinagar International Airport, highlighted the various arrangements put in place for the ease of the pilgrims, reported Kashmir Patriot.
To begin with, a dedicated check-in counter has been established at Haj House Bemina specifically for screening the baggage of the pilgrims. Additionally, air-conditioned coaches have been arranged to transport the pilgrims from the Haj House to the airport. Furthermore, the pilgrims' baggage will be securely transported in separate sealed container trucks.
To avoid congestion at the airport, custom clearance procedures will be carried out exclusively at Haj House Bemina. This strategic decision aims to streamline the process and ensure a smooth flow of pilgrims.
For the Srinagar to Jeddah leg of the journey, the Airport Authority has deployed an Airbus A340, a wide-body aircraft renowned for its spaciousness and comfort.
To facilitate the movement of pilgrims from the departure entry gate to the aircraft, a dedicated area has been allocated at the airport.
Additionally, segregated areas have been designated for the pilgrims to wear their Ahram, a sacred attire worn during the Hajj pilgrimage.
These thoughtful arrangements by Srinagar International Airport exemplify their commitment to providing a seamless and comfortable experience for the Hajj pilgrims.
With these provisions in place, the authorities are well-prepared to ensure the successful departure of the pilgrims on their sacred journey.
