Supreme Court Collegium alters its recommendation for 4 High Court Chief Justices after Centre's delay
New Delhi/IBNS: The Supreme Court Collegium has altered its previous recommendation for the appointment of four High Court Chief Justices, media reports said.
The top court altered the recommendations after the delay by the central government.
The fresh recommendations are Justice Indra Prasanna Mukerji for Meghalaya High Court, Justice Suresh Kumar Kait for Madhya Pradesh High Court, Justice GS Sandhawalia for Himachal Pradesh High Court and Justice Tashi Rabstan for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court.
Earlier, Justice Shakdher was recommended as the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court.
As he is set to retire soon, the Supreme Court Collegium has recommended Justice GS Sandhawalia as the Chief Justice of the high court.
Justice Mukerji is the new one in the fresh recommendation list.
