She also shared an emotional image where she could be seen hugging Sadhvi Rithambara.

She was also a prominent face behind the temple movement initiated by the currently ruling BJP.

What did LK Advani say?

Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) veteran LK Advani recently said that fate decided there would be a Ram Temple in the temple town of Uttar Pradesh.

In an article titled 'Ram Mandir Nirman, Ek Divya Swapna Ki Purti', scheduled to release next week in a special edition of the 'Rashtra Dharma' magazine, Advani expressed himself as the "charioteer" who steered the controversial 'rath yatra' that began in Gujarat's Somnath on September 25, 1990.

The event then culminated with the demolition of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992, with  Advani being present at the spot.

Controversy and SC verdict

The temple is built on the spot which millions of Hindus believe to be the birthplace of the Hindu God.

The temple site remained an issue of bitter contest between Hindus and Muslims with both the religious factions laying claim to it for nearly seven decades.

It also witnessed violence in 1992 when a mob destroyed a 16th-century mosque which stood at the site, which was built over a Hindu temple according to the court's final verdict.

A majority of Hindus claimed that the site was the birthplace of Lord Ram before Muslim Mughals razed a temple at the spot to build the Babri Masjid.

Uma Bharti was present at the spot in 1992 when a mob demolished the Babri Masjid, triggering a new political debate in the country.

Ram Temple inaugurated in Ayodhya
