Victims of love jihad should complain without fear: BJP MLA Nitesh Rane
Mumbai: BJP MLA Nitesh Rane on Tuesday asserted that the Shinde-Fadnavis government is determined to put an end to the incidents of 'love jihad' in the state and an anti-conversion law will soon be introduced in the state.
The victims of love jihad should not be afraid to file complaints with the police and the interfaith marriage committee, said Rane.
He was speaking at a press conference held at the BJP state office. MLA Madhuritai Misal, Ram Satpute, Head of State Media Department Navnath Ban were present.
Talking about the claims made by MLA Abu Azmi and Jitendra Awa that love jihad and conversion does not take place in anywhere in Maharashtra now, Rane said he has evidence of many such incidents.
Rane presented the bitter reality of Love Jihad in the state with evidence and audio tapes. He said that there is abundant evidence and those who say there is no love jihad, they will stop to say saying that after hearing the audio tape of Kamal Qureshi and the victimized Hindu youth from Daund as well as Qureshi's own wife, said Rane.
He warned that we will never tolerate forced conversion of Hindu youths. He said BJP ministers, MLAs, all activists are trying to provide protection and justice to the victims. We also believe that the entire Hindu society and the government are with such the victims, said Rane.
