Mumbai: US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti, who recently assumed office, met Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan at his residence in Mumbai on Tuesday.

The envoy expressed his feelings about meeting the Bollywood actor with an interesting tweet.

He jokingly asked his followers: " Is it time for my Bollywood debut?"

He further said he discussed with Khan the issue of the huge cultural impact of Hollywood and Bollywood movie industries across the globe.

"Is it time for my Bollywood debut? Had a wonderful chat with superstar @iamsrk at his residence Mannat, learning more about the film industry in Mumbai and discussing the huge cultural impact of Hollywood and Bollywood across the globe. #AmbExploresIndia," he tweeted.

The envoy also shared several images of his meeting with the Bollywood actor who has worked in several Box Office successful movies in his career.

Khan recently rocked the Box Office with his last released movie Pathaan.

On Wednesday, the envoy also met Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani and discussed avenues for more India-US economic cooperation.
