Priyanka Chopra says she quit a Hindi film as director wanted to 'see her underwear'
Mumbai/IBNS: In another revelation about her experience in Bollywood, actor Priyanka Chopra has said she had quit a Hindi film whose director wanted to "see her underwear" during a shooting sequence.

In an interview with The Zoe Report, Priyanka, who has now earned global fame, said the incident happened on the shooting floor of a film where she was playing undercover.
She said, "I'm undercover, I'm seducing the guy — obviously that's what girls do when they're undercover. But I'm seducing the guy and you have to take off one piece of clothing [at a time]. I wanted to layer up. The filmmaker was like, No, I need to see her underwear. Otherwise, why is anybody coming to watch this movie?"
The actor added, "He didn't say it to me. He said it to the stylist in front of me. It was such a dehumanizing moment. It was a feeling of, I'm nothing else outside of how I can be used, my art is not important, what I contribute is not important."
Priyanka said she quit the film on her father's advice and paid back the money the production house had spent on her.
"I just couldn't look at him every day," she said.
Priyanka Chopra speaks 'on being sidelined' in Bollywood
Earlier, Priyanka had revealed how she was cornered in the Hindi film industry, which she dominated in her own rights for years until she moved to the West.
In an interview on a podcast, Priyanka narrated her experience of being cornered in Bollywood, her struggles and then her jump into the West.
She had said, "I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, and I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.
"So, when this music thing came, I was like ‘f*** it, I am going to America."
On the work front, Priyanka's recent web series titled Citadel premiered on Amazon Prime Video on April 28.
