Q. You are back with Anjan Dutt again!

A. A good pairing between myself and Anjan-da has developed. The audience is liking it or discussing it. I feel our journey will be long lasting.

Q. How would you analyse your blooming pairing with Anjan Dutt?

A. My bonding with Anjan-da is based on his acting self. Though Anjan Dutt is multitalented, I am mostly attracted to his acting. An actor like Anjan Dutt is very rare. I admire Anjan Dutt as an actor more than as a filmmaker. I am used to his direction but his acting surprises me every time.

Q. Did you ever feel your work has an impression of Anjan Dutt’s acting?

A. I have never imitated my football heroes when I used to play the sport. The same goes for my acting. If I had been into acting from a very tender age, there could have been impressions of someone in my work. But since I came at a mature age, it didn’t happen like that. Moreover our (Suprobhat Das and Anjan Dutt) backgrounds are poles apart.

Q. How do you evaluate money, which forms the crux of Seven, in life?

A. Anything beyond requirement is wastage. Excess money leads to a change in our lifestyle. Our story deals with the question of handling money which comes suddenly. The series explores whether money will change upbringing and friendship.

Q. Do you miss your first love football?

A. Definitely I do. I don’t watch football on the ground anymore. I feel the pain because it was my first love. I still feel the excitement and also the pain for not being able to continue with football.

Q. Your sporting background definitely helps you to handle success and prepare for any upset?

A. It is actually. Football helps me a lot. I have seen people’s reactions to my game change overnight. Just like a player’s job is to just play without thinking about the success and failure, I follow the same as an actor. I just concentrate on working with love and honesty.
