World Cup: India bowlers shine as Pakistan dismissed for 191
Ahmedabad: India bowlers produced a magical show in the high-voltage group stage match of the World Cup as they bowled out Pakistan for 191 runs here on Saturday.
Despite making a promising start and settling at 155 for the loss of two wickets, the Pakistani batting lineup tumbled down after Indian bowlers fought back after initial resistance by opponents.
Openers Abdullah Shafique (20) and Imam-ul-Haq (36) provided Pakistan with a 41-run stand before Mohammed Siraj struck to give the home side the first breakthrough in the game.
Siraj caught Shafique leg before and soon Hardik Pandya dismissed Haq to give Pakistan initial jolts.
However, skipper Babar Azam (50) and Mohammad Rizwan (49) tried to stabilise the innings and were marching ahead when Siraj once again produced a gem to remove the Pakistani captain.
India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah removed Rizwan as Pakistan struggled at 4-162.
Indian bowlers did not give a chance for Pakistan to fight back in the game from that point as the visitors were bowled out for 191.
Bumrah,Siraj,Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each.
India have not lost a single match against Pakistan in the 50-over World Cup.
