In a meeting of the steering committee of the 43rd Agartala Book Fair held at Muktadhara auditorium on Tuesday has unanimously decided to organize the fair at Hapania International fairground from January 2nd to January 14th, 2025 next.

The schedule of the 43rd Agartala book fair was finalized during the first preparatory meeting of the fair committee, chaired by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, which was held at the Muktadhara auditorium in Agartala on October 28 evening. And in the second meeting of the steering committee led by chairman of the managing committee and Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder has unanimously decided to organize the 43rd Agartala book fair again at Hapania international fairground considering all ground facilities.

Bimbisar Bhattacharjee, Director of ICA through a PowerPoint presentation described the details of the fair and the steps being taken to make it a success. He said the sub-committees will discuss all the difficulties being faced and steps to be taken for a more attractive book fair.

During the meeting, deputy mayor of AMC, Manika Das Dutta, Biswajit Shil, vice-president of West Tripura Zilla Parishad, editor Nabendhu Bhattacharjee, vice-chairman of state cultural committee, Subrata Chakraborty, former vice-chancellor of Tripura University, Dr Arunodhoy Saha, members of Media Advisory committee, All Tripura Book Sellers and Publishers,  Rakhal Majumder and poet Nakul Roy and others including members from All Tripura Book Sellers and Publishers Association were also present.
