81 personnel to receive DGP Commendation Disc during Tripura Police Week celebration
On the eve of the Tripura Police Week-2025 celebration, the state police headquarters has released the list of recipients for the Director General of Police’s (DGP’s) Commendation Disc-2025. Altogether 81 police personnel, including ministerial staff, will be honoured with the prestigious award on Wednesday (February 25) as part of the Tripura Police Week celebrations.
According to the official list, several senior and prominent officers have been selected for the commendation. Among them are DIG Ratiranjan Debnath; SP of Sepahijala district Bijoy Debbarma; SP of West Tripura district Namit Pathak; SP (North) Avinash Rai; Commandant of 2nd Battalion TSR Rajib Sengupta; SP (Economic Offences) Piyamadhuri Majumder; and SP (Police Control) Rajdeep Deb.
The list also includes Additional SP of West Tripura district Dhruba Nath; ASP Rajib Sutradhar; IPS officer Vishal Kumar; and several Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs), including Rangadulal Debbarma and SDPO (Sadar) Deba Prasad Roy.
Significantly, a number of women police personnel have also been selected for the award this year. Among them are OC of Dharmanagar Police Station Mina Debbarma and Swapna Bhowmik, OC of Belonia Women Police Station. Personnel from different battalions of the Tripura State Rifles (TSR), along with several Upper Division Clerks (UDCs) and Lower Division Clerks (LDCs), have also been chosen to receive the DGP Commendation Disc.
The awards will be formally presented during the Tripura Police Week celebration on February 25.
