Agartala police arrested a thief with 10 mobile sets

The Agartala city police investigating a stolen incident of ‘donation box’ in the worship place of a private nursing home in Agartala, the city police managed to arrest that thief, but surprisingly recovered 10 stolen high value mobile sets under his possession on Monday.
Giving details, SDPO (Sadar), Debaprasad Roy said that on the night of May 15th, some unidentified miscreants had entered Krishnanagar Unity Hospital and stole the donation box. Based on a complaint filed by the hospital manager, Prasenjit Majumder, a case was registered at the West Agartala Police Station under sections 305/331(4)/3(5) of the BNS.
Subsequently, police formed a team to investigate, and through CCTV analysis, police identified the accused named Rahul Dutta from the Nandan Nagar area of the city and arrested him yesterday in connection with this case.
During interrogation, police were able to recover ten mobile phones and Rs. 3000 cash that had been stolen from the donation box.
The SDPO said police produced him before a local court with police remand appeal for further interrogation to unearth the mobile stolen network.
