Targeting the ensuing assembly election, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Wednesday announced  seven committees for Tripura Pradesh Congress including Pradesh Election Committee (PEC) for the state.

As per the AICC’s list, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Birajit Sinha has been made the chairman of the 10-member Pradesh election committee and named members including  AICC general secretary Dr Ajoy Kumar, who is also the in-charge of Tripura, AICC secretary Szarita Laitphlang, MLA Sudip Roy Barman and former PCC president Gopal Chandra Roy are also members of the committee.

A 12-member political affairs committee has also been announced led by former PCC president Gopal Chandra Roy as chairman. MLA Sudip Roy Barman has been made the head of campaign and publicity committee while the seven-member manifesto committee will be headed by veteran party leader Shanti Rajan Debnath.

Apart from these, AICC also  formed committee  and declared the names for media committee, state spokespersons, Pradesh election co-ordination committee etc.
