AK Sharma took over charges of IG-BSF of Tripura frontier

On the day Vijay Diwas (December 16) A K Sharma, IG, a 1987 batch BSF officer, took over the charge of IG BSF Tripura. He was earlier posted at BSF training centre Indore.
On arrival, he was welcomed by Officers of Tripura Frontier and given guard of honor. After paying homage to martyrs, IG BSF took stock of the current situation along the border and operational preparedness.
A K Sharma has vast experience of serving both under Eastern & Western Command, Counter insurgency and Anti-naxal operations (ANO), served on deputation to NSG and UN Mission. He had earlier served in Tripura too. Tripura frontier is one of the most challenging and sensitive Frontier of BSF.
