Assam Rifles, BSF celebrates ‘Raksha Bandhan’ festival with children, local people

Security forces deployed in Tripura on Monday observed the ‘Raksha Bandhan’ festival with enthusiasm.
In a press statement Assam Rifles said that in a heartwarming display of camaraderie and compassion, Assam Rifles soldiers celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the children of Kalyan Ashram in Tripura. This festive celebration was marked by the participation of 25 girls and 10 boys from the ashram, who were warmly welcomed by the personnels of Assam Rifles. The children tied Rakhi on the wrists of the soldiers, symbolizing the bond of protection and care between the local community and Assam Rifles.
In return, the soldiers presented gifts and sweets to the children, making the festival even more memorable for them.
This gesture of unity and affection underscores the Assam Rifles' commitment to strengthen its bond with the communities they serve. The event highlighted the importance of togetherness and mutual respect, reinforcing the strong ties between the armed forces and the local populace.
The Border Guard in another press statement said that BSF, on Monday has also celebrated Raksha Bandhan festival at Frontier headquarters in Salbagan area of Agartala with locals. Officers, Jawan, and their families came together to celebrate the bond of protection and love that Rakhi symbolizes.
The event began with the tying of Rakhi on writs of Seema Praharies by women of various NGOs from the state. The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets and a message of peace and brotherhood among all.
