Assam Rifles commemorated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at Agartala. As part of the celebrations, a Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Wreath Laying Ceremony were organised at Agartala, reaffirming the Force's commitment to the nation and paying tribute to the brave hearts who made the supreme sacrifice for the country's freedom and sovereignty.
The celebrations witnessed the unfurling of the National Flag with due solemnity, followed by a wreath laying ceremony to honour the valour, sacrifice and dedication of the nation's freedom fighters and fallen heroes. The occasion served as a reminder of the cherished values of patriotism, unity and national service.
A March Past was also organised at Assam Rifles Ground, Agartala, wherein the Assam Rifles contingent delivered an exemplary performance and secured Second Position amongst all participating Police and CAPF forces. The contingent was felicitated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr (Prof) Manik Saha, who presented the Runners-Up Trophy in recognition of its impressive performance and discipline.
As part of the Independence Day celebrations, Flag Hoisting Ceremonies were also conducted at Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Agartala and ARPS Udaipur. The participation of students, teachers and the Assam Rifles fraternity added to the patriotic spirit of the occasion and inspired the younger generation to uphold the ideals and values of the nation.
The celebrations reflected the unwavering commitment of Assam Rifles towards fostering patriotism, national unity and a strong sense of responsibility among its personnel, families and the younger generation, while commemorating the nation's journey and honouring the sacrifices made in the service of the motherland.
