As part of their professional orientation and familiarization with Tripura's security and administrative framework, 27 probationers of the Tripura Civil Services (TCS) Batch 2026 visited the Headquarters of 21 Sector Assam Rifles in Agartala on Monday.
During the visit, the probationers were briefed on the rich history, evolution, organizational ethos and operational structure of the Assam Rifles, with special emphasis on the force's enduring role in maintaining peace and security in Tripura.
The interaction highlighted the Assam Rifles' multifaceted responsibilities in ensuring internal security, promoting peace and strengthening civil-military cooperation across the region. Officials also shared insights into the unique security challenges of the Northeast and the force's significant contribution to stability, nation-building and community engagement over the years.
The visit provided the probationers with a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the operational environment in the Northeast and the importance of coordinated efforts between the civil administration and security forces.
The programme concluded with a reaffirmation of the need for closer institutional cooperation between the civil administration and the Assam Rifles in advancing a peaceful, secure and progressive Tripura.
