Assam Rifles organizes medical camp on cervical and breast cancer at Agartala

Awareness cum Medical Camp on Cervical and Breast Cancer for women was conducted by Assam Rifles on Monday. The camp was led by esteemed oncologist Dr Aroop Roy Barman , (MD, DNB, MPhil, PhD) from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Centre, Agartala.
A total of 95 women attended the lecture out of which 73 women underwent free screening test for cervical and breast cancer detection. The event was conducted to educate women about prevention, early detection through regular screening and the available treatments for curing cervical and breast cancer.
The educational talk given by Dr Aroop Roy Barman covered salient aspects of cervical and breast cancer, associated risk factors, and lifestyle modifications adopted to reduce the risk.
