Assam Rifles seizes Yaba tablets, worth Rs. 12 crore from Salbagan, 2 smugglers arrested

In a meticulously planned operation, Assam Rifles intercepted a move of narcotics in general areas of Salbagan , at the outskirts of Agartala on Tuesday .The operation resulted in the recovery of 60,000 Yaba tablets, valued at approximately Rs 12 crore in the international market.
Two individuals were apprehended in connection with the smuggling activity, identified as Kanai Das (36) of Bamutia village under West Tripura district and Kishan Kumar Sarkar (32) of Rangutia village under the same district.
The recovered contraband and the apprehended individuals have been handed over to Directorate of Revenue Intelligence for further investigation and legal proceedings. This operation underscores the unwavering commitment of Assam Rifles in combating smuggling and safeguarding the region from the menace of drug trafficking.
