A young motorcycle mechanic has been missing for the past five days, leaving his parents distressed and searching for him. With no trace of their son, the family has now approached the media seeking public assistance.

According to family members, Dipta Debnath, who has been running a motorcycle and scooter repair shop at Dibyadaya Chowmuhani in North Chebri area of Khowai district for the last eight years, left home five days ago saying he was going to his workshop. Since then, he has not returned, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

His mother said that Dipta left home in the morning as usual to open his shop but never came back. Despite extensive searches by family members and local residents, no information about him has been found so far.

Local sources alleged that Dipta had borrowed more than Rs 5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh from several individuals and may have gone missing due to his inability to repay the debts. However, there has been no official confirmation from the police or authorities linking his disappearance to the alleged financial liabilities.

Meanwhile, his parents and local residents continue their search and have appealed to anyone with information about Dipta Debnath’s whereabouts to come forward and inform the family or the nearest police station.

His parents has also expressed their apprehension over sudden missing of their son and appealed to the police authorities to intensify their search operations to trace their missing son.
