Bomb attack on CPI (M) supporter, Jiten condemns, BJP claimed firecracker bursting

Opposition leader Jitendra Chaudhury on Monday evening visited the house of CPI (M) supporter at Angannagar villager under 4-Barjala assembly constituency, where some unknown miscreants hurled crude bombs at his house on Saturday night and slammed the ruling party for their attacks on opposition supporters.
While, former BJP MLA Dr Dilip Das claimed that the opposition party is trying to disturb the peace in the locality by spreading false attacks on their supporter house in bombs, which was actually firecracker bursting.
On Saturday midnight, a violent attack was carried out at the residence of CPI(M) Narsingarh Local Committee member, Tapan Shil’s residence in Angannagar village, which created panic among local villagers.
After the incident, a big hole in the boundary wall of Tapan Shil’s house, but so far police was unable to arrest any of the miscreants involved with the attack.
On Monday evening, CPI (M) state secretary and leader of opposition (LoP) Jitendra Chaudhury along with local MLA Sudip Sarkar visited Tapan Shil’s residence and strongly castigated ruling BJP.
Without naming anyone, Chaudhury claimed that after the BJP candidate was defeated in 4-Barjala assembly constituency in the last elections, the attacks on opposition supporters has been continued in Barjala with an intention to demoralize opposition supporters and their workers.
He alleged that a complete lawlessness situation prevailing across the state and also claimed a section of police are working as cadres of ruling BJP. He said that despite repeated appeals, police had arrived at the house of Tapan Shil after nine hours of the incident and till today, they were unable to arrest any miscreant involved in the bomb attack.
Such incidents of attack on opposition leaders and supporters’ residences reflects BJPs desperation and their inability to tolerate dissent and CPI(M) struggle against such oppression politics will only grow stronger, said Chaudhury and demanded immediate arrest of all accused persons involved in the attack.
Meanwhile, former BJP MLA from Barjala seat, Dr Dilip Das claimed that opposition MLA and his supporters are now busy with tarnish the images of ruling party and they turned a firecracker bursting incident into a bomb attack, which is total false and fabricated incident to disturb peace in the locality.
