BSF detains two Rohingyas from a bus stand in Gomati district

Border Guards on Friday again arrested two more Rohingyas from Karbook bus stand under Gomati district.
BSF sources said that on Friday afternoon, based on a specific information, regarding presence and movement of Rohingyas illegal Migrants in Karbook area, two Rohingyas migrants were apprehended at Karbook bus stand by BSF troops of Border Outpost (BOP) Bhatiabari under Gomati district of Tripura while they were planning to exfiltrate into Bangladesh.
Both the apprehended Rohingya illegal Migrants are resident of Rohingya refugee Camp located in Cox Bazar, Bangladesh. Indian currency, mobile and UNHCR card recovered from their possession.
In addition alert troops of BSF Tripura in different operations foiled various attempts of trans-border smuggling along the Indo Bangladesh border and seized 1,600Kg Sugar and other contraband items worth Rs. 4.76 lakh.
BSF has enhanced the surveillance along the border to prevent trans border crime and infiltration .
