As part of the government of India’s flagship Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP), the Border Security Force (BSF), Tripura Frontier, accorded a warm welcome and ceremonial send-off to six special guests — Krishna Debnath, Beauty Debnath, Biplab Paul, Pinki Rudra Paul, Tapan Dey, and Lata Dey — from the bordering villages of Tripura, along with one coordinator Sh. Debjyoti Malakar, at Agartala Airport today.
The delegation is travelling to New Delhi to participate in and witness the 79th Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort on 15 August 2025.
Senior officers of BSF Tripura Frontier were present at Agartala Airport to interact with and see off the group. During the interaction, the officers conveyed their best wishes and encouraged the participants to share their experiences upon return.
This initiative aims to foster a sense of belonging among residents of remote border areas, and provide them with an opportunity to be part of the national mainstream.
