BSF organises blood donation camp to observe its 60th Raising Day

As part of 60th BSF Raising day celebration, a blood donation camp was organised at the BSF Tripura frontier headquarters at Salbagan, Agartala. J K Sinha, Chief Secretary graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Patel Piyush Purusottam Das, IG of BSF welcomed the guests and presented them a sapling as a memento. Chief guest inaugurated the blood donation camp by lighting the ceremonial Lamp
The Blood Donation camp was organized at five different locations in the state. To commemorate the 60th Raising Day each BSF Battalion is donating 60 Units of blood. It is expected that more than one thousand Units of blood have been collected during the Blood Donation camp. Officers, Jawans, and family members enthusiastically took part in this event, a BSF statement said.
BSF is highly committed to social causes that benefit the local population. BSF is not only the first line of defence but also the first responder in crisis periods.
