Celebrating one crore trees in one year: Positive Barta to host national awareness conclave at Delhi
With deep pride and a spirit of collective achievement, Positive Barta is set to host the National Awareness Conclave at Constitution club of India at New Delhi on Saturday, a historic celebration of one of the largest people’s movements for the environment in recent years – the successful planting of one crore trees in just one year.
This achievement is not merely about numbers, it is about reviving hope in the face of climate change, restoring balance to our ecosystem and reaffirming humanity’s responsibility towards future generations. Each sapling planted stands as a living testament to our shared dream of a greener India.
The conclave will also highlight the empowerment of women entrepreneurs, who have been central to this mission. By leading green enterprises, creating sustainable livelihoods and inspiring communities, these women embody resilience and innovation. Their stories will be celebrated as a powerful reminder that environmental progress and social development go hand in hand.
It is expected that the event will be graced by eminent leaders, thinkers and voices of change from diverse fields – geopolitics, governance, media, academia, law and healthcare – who will lend their insights and inspiration to this noble cause including Dr. Ayanjit Sen – Chief Advisor, Red Lantern Analytica Observer Group of India; Professor, Bennett University; Defence Forces Trainer, Dr. Parimal Kanti Mondal – National President, BRMGSU; General Secretary, NFITU (Delhi State); Joint Secretary, DPC; SLCC Member, FCI, Govt. of India, Sandeep Verma – Deputy Secretary, Additional Private Secretary to Minister, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India, Mr. Vaibhav Parashar – Director, Versol Solutions; Vice President, BJP Ghaziabad Labour Wing, RJ Aarti Malhotra – Director, Golden Sparrows, Dr. Tilak Tanwar – Director, Skald Consulting, Dr. Suresh Singhvi – Co-Director, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, Mr. S.H. The One Crore Trees in One Year initiative has brought together farmers, women’s groups, youth volunteers, students, and changemakers from all walks of life. It symbolizes the power of unity, compassion, and grassroots action in addressing one of the greatest challenges of our time – global warming.
By encouraging communities to plant and nurture trees, Positive Barta has not only contributed to environmental sustainability but has also created a platform for social development and entrepreneurship, especially for women. From seed banks to businesses, this mission is enabling women to become economic pillars of their communities while also serving as guardians of nature.
The conclave is not just a gathering of distinguished voices – it is a celebration of every individual who planted a sapling, watered it and cared for it as a symbol of hope. It is a tribute to the tireless efforts of those who believe that even the smallest act of care for the Earth can lead to monumental change.
This day at the Constitution Club of India will mark the beginning of the next chapter of the Green Mission—expanding the movement, inspiring future leaders, and ensuring that the vision of a sustainable and inclusive India becomes reality.
