Central Sanskrit University celebrates Constitution Day, Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas

Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Lembucherra, celebrated Constitution Day on Tuesday with great enthusiasm and solemnity. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Alak Bhattacharya, Professor of the Dept. of Political Science, Tripura Central University as the Chief Guest, and Prof.Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, Director of Central Sanskrit University, as the Chairperson. The program witnessed active participation from students and staff of the campus.
The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the recitation of the Vedic & traditional mangalacharan. Prof.Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, in his remarks, emphasized the significance of Constitution Day and the enduring values enshrined in the Indian Constitution, urging everyone to uphold the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
Prof.Alak Bhattacharya in his address highlighted the importance of constitutional awareness in building a progressive society. He lauded the efforts of Central Sanskrit University in fostering cultural and educational values among the youth. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, extending gratitude to the Chief Guest, Chairperson, and all participants for making the event a grand success. The event reaffirmed the commitment of the university to promote constitutional values and contribute to nation-building.
In another significant event, Central Sanskrit Universitycelebrated Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwasfrom 15- 26 November, 2024 with zeal and enthusiasm, showcasing the rich tribal heritage and commitment to environmental & cultural conservation. The event included a cleanliness and tree plantation drive on 17-11-2024. Besides, a vibrant Jan Jatiya food fest was organized on 18-11-2024 in which all the staff and students participated. The fest celebrated the culinary diversity of India’s tribal communities and provided an opportunity to appreciate their rich cultural heritage.
The valedictory session of the same was graced by Dr. Singh KwrakSantuaJamatia, Assistant Professor of Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalay, as the Chief Guest, and Prof.Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, Director of the Campusas the Chairperson on 26-11-2024. Students and staff of the campus actively participated in the day's activities. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh Kwrak Santua Jamatia highlighted the importance of blending tribal traditions with modern environmental practices.
During the valedictory function, Prof.Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra emphasized the university's role in preserving and promoting tribal culture through education and events like Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas. He applauded the efforts of students and faculty in organizing such a meaningful programm. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the Chief Guest, faculty, staff, and students in making the celebration a grand success. The day reaffirmed the university's commitment to honouring tribal pride and fostering sustainable practices. Both these events were coordinated by Dr.NandadulalMondal, Assistant Professor (Shiksha Shastra) & Mrs. Parvin Debbarma, Assistant Professor (Computer Science).
