First day of TBSE runs Madhyamik exams passes peacefully, 28,919 candidates appeared
Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) runs Madhyamik and Madrassa Alim examinations beginning on Tuesday across the state with peaceful note.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha through a social media post wishes success to all candidates, who will appear in the Madhyamik examinations and also wishes for their bright future.
While, TBSE’s President Dr Dhananjoy Gon Choudhury on Tuesday said that altogether 29,075 candidates enrolled for Madhyamik examinations, among them 28,919 candidates appeared in the first day of examinations with 99.46% appearances including 13,476 boys and 15,443 girls.
He said a total of 156 candidates were absent in the examinations and on the first day of exam, the candidates appeared for English subject from 68 examination venues. Similarly, candidates have also appeared for Madrassa Alim exams.
He said that the number of candidates for both Madhyamik and HS examinations has decreased as 120 Vidyajyoti schools are now under the CBSE.
Earlier, on Monday in the first day of Higher Secondary (+2), Madrassa Fazil Arts and Madrassa Fazil Theology, a total of 21, 214 candidates appeared in the examinations from 60 examination centres from all eight districts of the state.
