Gandhi birthday observed with patriotic fervor across Tripura

Tripura along with the entire nation on Wednesday observed 155th Gandhi Jaynati through various programmes and with patriotic fervor.
On October 2, each year, people across the country commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's legacy of non-violence, truth, and social justice on his birth anniversary. This year, 2025, marks the 155th birth anniversary of Bapu. People from all walks of life have taken to different social media platforms, especially X, to their tributes to the “Father of the Nation.”
Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Circuit House and also at the martyr spot of Gandhi Ghat with the presence of senior administrative officials. Bhajans, Shramadaan programme has also been organized to mark Gandhi Jayanti in the capital city of Agartala.
The Tripura Pradesh Congress on Monday also observed the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with patriotic fervour through different programmes on the day.
Hundreds of Congress activists and workers of ‘Seva Dal’ as part of their weeklong celebration started the day with an awareness messages of Mahatma Gandhi. Later, Congress leaders and workers paid floral tributes at the martyr spot of Gandhighat area and organized a meeting in memory of the father of the nation in front of Congress Bhavan. The party workers also observed the day in every district of the state with patriotic fervour.
