Husband attacks wife’s parents, three injured
In a bizarre incident, when a son-in-law attacked his father and mother-in-laws with sharp weapon, the local villagers resisted the attack and thrashed him severally, as a result the accused son in law and his mother in law were admitted to GB Hospital in very critical condition.
Police sources said that accused husband-in-law, Bapan Saha on Sunday afternoon went to his in-laws house at Amtali area, at the outskirts of Agartala to meet his wife and now born son. But, after a few minutes of some family disputes, he allegedly attacks his father in law, Ashish Chakraborty and mother-in-law Ranubala Majumder with sharp cutting weapon and after a brief scuffle with them, he injures them seriously.
Hearing hue and cry, immediately local villagers rushed to the spot and they also thrashed the accused husband.
Later, police rushed to the spot and shifted all injured persons to Tripura Medical College (TMC) and after primary treatment, all injured persons were referred to GB Hospital.
Bapan’s wife Puja Chakraborty alleged that her husband entered their house with a sharp weapon and all of sudden he attacked her parents.
While, hospital sources said that the condition of accused husband Bapan Saha and his mother-in-law, Ranubala Majumder is stated to be critical.
