Inhuman behavior by showroom owner to its employee, creates massive reaction, Pradyot urges police to take action
Protesting inhuman behavior and thrashing on an employee of the branded garment showroom located at Agartala by its owner, the Tipra-Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma strongly condemned the incident and demanded immediate police action.
On yesterday, the viral video of thrashing an employee by its owner inside garment showroom ‘Mufti’ in Agartala created massive reaction across the state over the barbaric attitude of the owner, who has beaten his employee through an iron rod.
Reacting over the incident Pradyot Kishore in his tweet message said "Attention@ Tripura-Police! @YTFTIPRA have already taken up this matter with you! We demand justice! It breaks my heart to see treatment like this given to anyone ! Kindly Take action or I will personally come down to your station with YTF warriors!".
Sources said that the shop owner of Agartala mercilessly beat his employee reportedly for demanding his salary. Incidentally, the owner is a Bengali and the employee is a tribal. The incident drew huge condemnation from various corners without considering the identity of the owner or the employee.
Police sources said that after receiving a complaint from the employee Surajit Tripura who hails from Chawmanu area of Dhalai district, police detained the owner of the shop Apu Saha and released him as the FIR had registered under section-325 of IPC, which jail provision of below seven years and as per the verdict of Supreme Court one accused person can arrest with such provisions.
Jayanta Kumar Day, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of West Agartala Police Station said the injury on the part of the complainant was minor in nature and the victim does not have any medical report from the hospital. The police are now investigating the matter seriously, he said.
