Lover arrested for deceived and raping minor at Kadamtala
A lover was arrested for raping a minor girl by luring and deceives her with fake commitments of marriage at Kadamtala area of North Tripura district.
Sources said that a 17 years old and a class eleven student went to her relative's house at ward number-5 of Jalaibari village under Kadamtala police station about three months ago and had engaged with love affairs with one Mohammad Arif Hussain alais Ali Hasan (24) of the same area. But, within few days of their affairs, accused youth had raped that minor girl with commitment of marrying her.
But, after three months of the incident, the mother of the victim girl learned that her daughter became pregnant for 3 months, then she contacted Abdul Karim, father of accused youth Arif and he assured that when the girl becomes 18 years old, then they will complete their marriage legally.
By that time, the victim girl became ill and during her treatment her parents were alerted by the doctor over her pregnancy of 3 months.
Helpless mother of the victim girl, when rushed to the house of Arif, she learnt that Arif had married to another girl. After facing betrayal from Arif, the parents of the victim girl lodged a complaint at Kadamtala police against the accused youth and his parents.
Police registering an FIR under section 64/351(3) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and section-4 of "Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012" (POCSO) has managed to arrest accused youth Arif Hussain and on Monday produced him before a local court for further legal actions.
Police sources said that other accused involved with betraying that victim girl are on the run and hoped that soon they will be able to arrest them.
