Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the cancellation, rescheduling, and regulation of several train services operating through the Lumding–Badarpur Hill Section due to ongoing restoration work near New Harangajao station, where railway tracks on Line-1 and Line-2 were affected by track settlement.
According to NFR, train operations are currently being maintained through Line-3 with enhanced safety measures while restoration work continues. To facilitate the repair work, the following changes have been made to train services:
Cancelled Trains:
Train No. 15615 Guwahati–Silchar Express, scheduled to commence its journey on July 30, 2026, has been cancelled.
Train No. 15616 Silchar–Guwahati Express, scheduled to commence its journey on July 31, 2026, has also been cancelled.
Rescheduled Trains:
Train No. 15650 Narangi–Agartala Express will depart at 10:30 PM on July 30.
Train No. 15649 Agartala–Narangi Express will depart at 11:30 PM on July 30.
Train No. 15609 Guwahati–Sairang Express will depart at 11:30 PM on July 30.
Train No. 15610 Sairang–Guwahati Express will depart at 9:30 PM on July 30.
Train No. 15611 Rangiya–Silchar Express will depart at 11:30 PM on July 30.
Train No. 15612 Silchar–Rangiya Express will depart at 5:00 AM on July 31.
Train No. 14619 Agartala–Firozpur Cantt. Express will depart at 11:00 PM on July 30.
Train No. 15608 Silchar–Thiruvananthapuram Central Express will depart at 4:10 AM on July 31.
Additionally, Train No. 12503 SMVT Bengaluru–Agartala Humsafar Express, which commenced its journey on July 28, 2026, will be regulated en route to ensure safe operations.
NFR has advised passengers to check the latest train schedules before commencing their journey and has assured that restoration work is being carried out on a priority basis to restore normal operations at the earliest.
