NFR enhances regional connectivity with new stoppage of Agartala - Silchar–Agartala Express at Pecharthal
Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has introduced a new stoppage for Train No. 15663/15664 Agartala–Silchar–Agartala Express at Pecharthal (PEC) Railway Station in Tripura to further strengthen regional connectivity and enhance travel convenience for passengers. The inaugural flagging off ceremony was held at Pecharthal Railway Station on Monday, 1st December 2025 in the gracious presence of Smt. Santana Chakma, Hon’ble Minister for Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura along with senior railway officials.
Train No. 15663 (Agartala–Silchar) will halt at Pecharthal with arrival at 14:01 hours and departure at 14:03 hours. In return direction train No. 15664 (Silchar–Agartala) will arrive at 13:13 hours and depart at 13:15 hours.
The addition of the Pncharthal halt marks a notable step forward in strengthening regional rail services. The new stoppage will offer smoother and more convenient travel options, improving access to essential rail facilities and enhancing connectivity to key destinations for passengers of North Tripura district and nearby areas.
With the introduction of this new stoppage, NFR reaffirms its commitment to enhancing passenger amenities, expanding regional connectivity and promoting overall development through reliable and passenger friendly transportation across the Northeast.
