The National Law University (NLU), Tripura welcomed its 3rd batch of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. students during its two-day Induction and Orientation programme on August 11–12, marking another milestone in its mission to provide world-class legal education in the state.
The inaugural day was graced by Mr. Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao, Chief Justice, High Court of Tripura and Chancellor, as President; Prof. (Dr.) N.L. Mitra, Founding Vice-Chancellor of NLU Jodhpur and former Director, NLSIU Bangalore, as Chief Guest; and Ratan Datta, Chairman, Bar Council of Tripura, as Guest of honour.
Chief Justice Rao extolled the University’s leadership and faculty for achieving full intake in both programmes, praising the Vice-Chancellor’s dynamic vision and dedication in steering NLU Tripura towards excellence. Prof. N. L. Ratan Datta warmly welcomed the new batch, congratulating them on joining one of the region’s most promising law schools. In his welcome address, Founding Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh reflected on the journey of National Law Universities and urged students to be torchbearers of NLU Tripura’s future. The day concluded with a vote of thanks by the Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Nachiketa Mittal.
The second day featured orientation of university’s academic and co-curricular activities including a health check-up camp, session on “Benefits of Yoga for Mental Health” by Dr. Sanjib Kr.
