Owner gets her lost high valued gold jewelleries after months
In a goodwill gesture, the Agartala city police after two and half months handed over valuable stolen gold ornaments to its owner after recovering these jewelleries from a group of five thieves.
Giving details. Officer-in-charge (OC) of New Capital Complex (NCC) police station, Sushanta Deb said that on September 25th last, one old age woman Ayesha Kahtun of Khajurbagan area under the same police station has lodged a complaint of stealing in her house, in which thieves had stolen away most valuable gold ornaments.
Based on her complaint, police started an investigation and within a short period, they managed to arrest five infamous thieves involved with this stolen incident. Later, based on their interrogation statements, police had also recovered some high valued gold ornaments under their possessions, said Deb.
He said that all five arrested thieves including Muhammad Saharuf, Ajoy Malla and Sahadeb Das and two others are present in jail custody and on Saturday, a local court in Agartala has issued an order to hand over the recovered gold jewelleries to its actual owner.
As per the directives of the court, on Saturday police handed over all recovered gold jewelleries including two necklaces, one Mangalsutra and one ring to Ayesha Khatun in front of media persons.
Later, speaking with media persons, Ayesha Khatun expressed her gratitude to the police administration for recovery of her valuable gold ornaments and also praised for swift action by police personnel of NCC police station.
