Disputing petty arguments among former and incumbent students of Bir Bikram Memorial College (BBMC) of Agartala during celebration of its golden jubilee on Thursday night, two students suffered injuries after a scuffle erupted among students.

Sources said that during a music concert on Thursday night, a group of former students led by Kunal Harijan, Rahul Paul and Aditya Deb allegedly in intoxicated conditions engaged in a brawl with some incumbent students disputing a petty issue.

As a result, two4th semester students including president of ABVP, Tanmoy Ghosh and Sourab Dey suffered injuries and they were hospitalized in the night. Later, police and teachers of the college defuse the tension.

Dr Rupak Das, convener of the celebration committee said that the scuffle between students erupted after their cultural programme ended and he also claimed that their celebration of golden jubilee ended on a peaceful note.
