Senior journalist Jayanta Debnath is bereaved following loss of his mother

Jyotsna Rani Debnath, the mother of Agartala Press Club's senior member and Managing Director of TripuraInfo.com, Jayanta Debnath, passed away at 2 AM on Thursday at the GB Hospital in the capital.
She was 86 years old at the time of her death. She had been admitted to the hospital due to age-related complications. She leaves behind five sons, three daughters, and many relatives and loved ones. The Agartala Press Club has expressed deep sorrow at her passing and extends condolences to the bereaved family.
Like her husband, veteran teacher Dhirendra Chandra Debnath who had left for heavenly abode in 2013, she was an ardent fan of the tripurainfo.com Mega Quiz and attended the event every year. She always prays to Lord Krishna for the smooth conduct of the quiz annually.
Jayanta Debnath and his family have expressed their gratitude to the doctors and nurses of GB Hospital's Emergency and Medical (Female) Ward for their relentless efforts over the past three days to save her life. Although she is no longer with us, her memories and love will always remain, said Debnath. Her last rites were performed on Thursday afternoon at her ancestral home in Teliamura under Khowai district.
