Three schools looted by thieves with valuable items worth lakhs

The long festival holidays in schools across Tripura, brings disastrous to at least three government schools in three different parts of the state as thieves looted these schools with all valuable items and ransacked many classes and science-laboratories.
Sources said that after Durga-Puja holidays, all government schools of the state opened on Thursday, but the headmasters and teachers of three government schools including Barjala school in Agartala, Teliamura Maiganga HS School and Ghilatali Bazar HS school of Kalyanpur under Khowai district astonished when they opened their classes and laboratories. The teachers noticed suspected thieves had looted all valuable items from these schools including computers, CPUs, UPS, fans, electric wire, microscopes and other laboratory items.
Thieves not only looted many classrooms and laboratories, they also ransacked offices and classrooms.
Police sources said that school accessories and electric items including computers worth about lakhs have been looted from these schools and after these incidents were reported, police teams visited all three schools and started investigation to arrest accused thieves.
