Various types of crimes have significantly reduced: CM

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha emphasized on Friday that the present state government is determined to establish good governance in the state, stating that various types of crimes have reduced due to the rule of law.
“Development work can be done better if harmony is maintained. Different types of crimes have decreased because of the rule of law in the state, and the current government is committed to establishing good governance,” Dr Saha said while laying the foundation stone of the new office of the Gomati District Superintendent of Police in Udaipur on Friday.
The Chief Minister noted that the state police have a glorious history of 150 years.
“Many times, people face various problems in the social system. The State Police takes quick steps to address the issues of common people. Criminal activity in the state has significantly reduced compared to previous years. Efforts by the State Police to increase public awareness are ongoing, and success is being achieved,” he stated.
He also addressed the issue of youth addiction to drugs, calling for more anti-drug operations. Furthermore, he reiterated that the government is determined to provide protection to women.
Present at the event were Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, DGP Amitabh Ranjan, DGP (Int) Anurag, Gomati Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Debal Debroy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia, DIGP (Law and Order) Ipper Manchak Dnyanoba, District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, and others.
