Astronomer sends CEO Andy Byron on leave after his 'affair' with HR head exposed at Coldplay concert
Boston/IBNS: Astronomer has sent its CEO Andy Byron on leave and replaced him with co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy as an interim after the former's "affair" with the US tech company's HR head Kristin Cabot was exposed in front of the world at a Coldplay concert.
The company said the Board of Directors has launched a probe into the "affair", which was exposed when Andy and Kristin were caught embracing each other while listening to the rock band that was performing in Boston, Massachusetts.
Astronomer issued a statement that reads, "Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy is currently serving as interim CEO given Andy Byron has been placed on leave. We will share more details as appropriate in the coming days."

As their intimacy was captured on the kiss cam, Andy and Kristin looked uncomfortable and they soon drifted away to hide their faces.
Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin reacted to the moment saying, "Oh look at these two... either they are having an affair or they're very shy."
The video, which went viral on social media, has not just impacted these two but also Andy Byron's wife, Megan Kerrigan, and his two children.
Megan has reportedly quit social media and also dropped her surname.

In a separate post, Astronomer wrote, "Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.
"The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly. Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video. Andy Byron has not put out any statement, reports saying otherwise are all incorrect."
