Pakistan: Five, including three children, die after consuming toxic milk
At least five people, including three children, died after consuming toxic milk in Pir Jo Goth region of Pakistan, media reports said on Monday.
According to reports, the condition of two other children is said to be critical.
The relatives of the deceased have alleged that the deaths occurred due to the unavailability of proper medical facilities and doctors at the hospital, reported ARY News.
They demanded action against hospital staff for negligence.
The exact cause of the death is still not known.
However, initial reports showed the milk was contaminated with toxic elements.
Commissioner Sukkur Fayaz Abbas has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the Deputy Commissioner of Khairpur, ARY News reported.
