From poetry to music: Inside the Balochi cultural event that lit up Germany
Dodman, a literary organisation, recently hosted a Balochi literary and cultural event in the German city of Göttingen.
The event, held on Saturday, drew a large gathering of writers, poets, intellectuals, and literature enthusiasts.
Blending scholarship, literature, and music, the programme was structured into three distinct sessions.
The first session featured a lecture on Baloch culture and civilisation, where speakers explored the community’s historical roots, traditions, social values, and linguistic heritage, according to The Balochistan Post.
The session aimed to familiarise participants with various aspects of Baloch history while encouraging younger generations to stay connected to their cultural identity.
The second session was dedicated to the memory of the late Balochi poet Majid Baloch, honouring his literary contributions.
The event concluded with a musical performance by Germany-based Balochi banjo player Bali Baloch, bringing a vibrant cultural close to the programme.
