Pakistan: Sit-in against the abduction of Hindu youths continue
A large number of people are currently participating in a sit-in demonstration against the abduction of Hindu boys and girls at Sindh-Punjab and Balochistan border in the Deera Moor region of Pakistan, media reports said.
The participants demanded immediate recovery of the abducted youth.
They are also demanding an end to frequent abduction in the region.
The abducted Hindu youths include Nagar Jaideep Kumar, Makki Jagdish Kumar, Dr Munir Naich, Sagar Kumar, Priya Kumari and others, reports The News International.
The sit-in was staged on the call of Hindu Panchayat, which suspended traffic flow leading to Punjab, Karachi and Peshawar, the newspaper reported.
SSP Amjad Sheikh in a bid to convince protesters to end their sit-in arrived for talks with them. However, the agitators refused to talk with him.
A shutterdown strike was also held over the issue in regions like Kandhkot, Karampur, Bakhshapur and Badani cities. They also demanded for the recovery of the abducted youths.
