Pakistani journalist Khalil Jibran gunned down by unknown men in KP
Pakistani journalist Khalil Jibran was gunned down by unknown men in Landi Kotal area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district on Tuesday.
According to a statement from District Police Officer (DPO) Saleem Abbas, unknown assailants in a vehicle pulled the journalist out of his car near his home and fled the scene after shooting him dead, reported Dawn News.
DPO Abbas said the body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem.
He said the deceased was associated with Khyber News.
He also served as the former president of the Landi Kotal press club.
The DPO told Dawn News a case was registered on the complaint of Advocate Sajjad, who was with Jibran and a witness to the crime.
