Photojournalist Bill Biggart's last 9/11 image goes viral on social media on 23rd anniversary
One of the haunting last images captured by photojournalist Bill Biggart, who died while covering the 9/11 attacks in the USA, has gone viral it shows the collapsing remains of Tower 2 of World Trade Center which was damaged during the terror attacks that had left the world shocked.
Shared on social media platform X, the page named Fascinating wrote: " The last photo taken by Bill Biggart, the only journalist killed covering 9/11."
The image went viral on a day when the USA is marking the 23rd anniversary of the terror attacks.
The attacks shocked the world in 2001 since they reminded the globe that even the most powerful nations int he world remained vulnerable.
On September 9, 2001, as many as 3,000 people died after planes crashed into the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.
It was one of the deadliest attacks which occurred on the US soil since the Pearl Harbour incident during World War 2.
Who is Bill Biggart?
Bill Biggart was an American freelance photojournalist and a victim of the September 11 attacks, notable for his street-view photographs of the event before being killed by the collapse of the World Trade Center's North Tower, as per a page on Wikipedia dedicated to the photographer.
He was the only professional photographer to be killed while covering the attacks.
