Taiwan detected 12 Chinese aircraft and eight vessels around its territory until 6 am on Sunday, Taiwan's Ministry of Defence said.

The Defence Ministry posted on X: "12 PLA aircraft, 8 PLAN vessels and 4 official ships operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 7 of the aircraft crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's southwestern ADIZ. "

Taiwan said it is monitoring the situation and responding accordingly.
