US should drop 'shameful' case against Julian Assange, says his wife

Washington: The United States should drop its “shameful” case against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange instead of issuing some “assurances” to him, Julian’s wife Stella said on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the High Court of Justice in London ruled in favor of Julian Assange, allowing him to continue to challenge the decision on his extradition to the US in UK courts.

“The [US President Joe] Biden administration should not issue assurances, they should drop this shameful case,” Stella Assange told reporters.
