US teen robs store, kills Indian-origin man
An Indian-origin man was shot and killed when a teenage boy robbed a store in the US state of North Carolina, media reports said.
US police said one person has been arrested in connection with the case.
"At approximately 8:04 pm this evening, investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office ,who have been following leads all afternoon, arrested one male juvenile in this case," Rowan County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.
The police condoled the death of Patel in the incident.
"We regret to inform you that the Victim in this shooting, Mainank Patel, has died as a result of his injuries. We want to send our condolences to the Patel family," police said.
Investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating and following up on tips that they have received in this case.
Police did not name the arrested person since he is a juvenile.
