'You are the best, I am trying to be like you': Meloni bonds with Modi at G7 Summit
Calgary/IBNS: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday called her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi "the best" as the two bonded on the sidelines of G7 Summit.
In a video shared by the India government on X, Meloni and Modi were seen shaking hands as they greeted each other.
In what could be heard in the video shared by My Gov India, Meloni told Modi, "You are the best, I am trying to be as you (like you)."

Meloni also shared a candid picture with Modi on her X handle.
She wrote in the caption, "Italy and India, bound by a great friendship."
Modi quoted Meloni's X post saying, "Fully agree with you, PM Giorgia Meloni. India’s friendship with Italy will continue to get stronger, greatly benefitting our people!"

Last year at the G7 Summit, Modi's selfie moment with Meloni had gone viral as the two global leaders acknowledged the term "Melodi" which went viral on social media.
The viral picture was almost a deja vu moment for the two global leaders whose selfie at the COP28 Climate Summit in Dubai turned out to be popular.
