Arvind Kejriwal is 'kingpin' of liquor scam in Delhi: Gaurav Bhatia
New Delhi/UNI: Launching a scathing attack on Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday, BJP alleged that he is the "kingpin" of an alleged liquor scam.
"Mr Arvind Kejriwal, you were presiding over the meeting in which this liquor scam was hatched... so why shouldn't you be blamed?" said BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia here, at a press conference.
Bhatia said, "Kejriwal must tell the public what your relationship with the liquor traders is?"
Calling Kejriwal a "staunch cheater" he said Arvind Kejriwal's only work is loot, extortion and corruption.
"Your liquor policy was so good then why was it withdrawn?" Bhatia questioned.
Gaurav Bhatia's remarks came after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned Kejriwal for questioning in connection with the Delhi excise policy case, on April 16.
The BJP spokesperson said the moment Arvind Kejriwal was called for questioning by the CBI, apparently, he started trembling with fear.
"It's quite clear that Arvind Kejriwal is the kingpin of the liquor scam" he said.
He said, "Arvind Kejriwal ji, if you are not afraid, then take a polygraph test... Take a lie detector test... everything will be clear".
The CBI’s summoned to the AAP chief a month after the arrest of former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in the same case.
Sisodia, who was arrested by the CBI on February 26, is currently lodged in Tihar Jail.
