Jammu and Kashmir: Suspected device found on Srinagar-Baramulla highway, defused later
Srinagar: A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused a suspected device along the Srinagar-Baramulla National highway on Monday, officials said.
The suspicious device was found lying near a flyover in Zangam Pattan area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Soon after the device was found, security forces suspended traffic on the road and laid a cordon around the object.
A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was also summoned to look into the object who later defused it.
The traffic has been restored on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway, officials added.
